Biography
Jaime George Meyer has been walking the shamanic path for more than 35 years, bringing together a wealth of experience, training, and creative expression. A full-time shamanic practitioner since 2012, Jaime began his journey in 2001 with The Power Path, completing their year-long program and all of their practitioner and healer training courses. Over the course of 11 years, he also undertook 15 plant dietas in the Amazon jungle with Shipibo elders, deepening his connection to plant medicine and ancestral wisdom.His training also includes a two year Celtic apprenticeship with Tom Cowan, extended study with Sli An Croí in Ireland, and additional teachings with Sandra Ingerman and Martín Prechtel and others. Holding a Master’s Degree in Theology and the Arts from United Seminary of the Twin Cities, Jaime has woven together spiritual practice and artistic creativity throughout his life. He is the author of Drumming the Soul Awake (1999) and Healing with Shamanism (2020), and has had 15 plays produced across the U.S. In addition to leading pilgrimages to Scotland and Ireland Jaime has guided drumming circles and ceremonial gatherings in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area for over 20 years. He currently serves as President of the Board for the Society for Shamanic Practice.
