Biography
José Luis Stevens, PhD, is an internationally recognized lecturer, teacher, and consultant, specializing in personality and the application of indigenous wisdom to business and life. He has a doctorate in Integral Counseling from the California Institute of Integral Studies, an MSW from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Sociology from the University of Santa Clara, California. A psychologist, Clinical social worker, and author of twenty-one published books and self-published e-books, as well as numerous articles, he is also on the advisory board of the Society for Shamanic Practice. He is the co-founder of the Power Path School of Shamanism and the Center for Shamanic Education and Exchange. He completed a ten-year apprenticeship with a Wicharika (Toltec Maracame) and for the last twenty-five years has and studied extensively with the Shipibo of the Amazon, and the Qero of the Andes, while continuing his training with the Wicharika tribe in West Central Mexico. His most recent books, published by Hierophant Publishing are “The Shaman’s Book of Extraordinary Practices” and “How to Pray the Shaman’s Way.” He lives and has his base of operations In Santa Fe with his wife and partner in all things, Lena.
